Last updated: 22 October 2026. This policy explains what information ArticlesRanker (articlesranker.com) collects when you visit, and what happens to it.
Who we are
ArticlesRanker is an independent website published by Ali Hassan. Contact: contact@articlesranker.com.
What we collect
We do not run user accounts, comment systems, or forms that store your personal details. If you email us, we receive your email address and message, used only to reply and for no other purpose. Our hosting and any analytics or advertising providers may automatically process technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and pages viewed, as described below.
Cookies, advertising, and analytics
When advertising is enabled on this site, third-party advertising partners (such as Google AdSense) may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising via Google's Ads Settings, and learn more about how Google uses data from sites that use its services on Google's own policy pages. Affiliate links may set cookies on the merchant's site so a purchase can be attributed; those cookies are governed by that merchant's privacy policy. If analytics are enabled, they are used in aggregate to understand which articles are useful; we do not build individual reader profiles.
External links
Our articles link to external sites (sources, vendors, references). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites; check their policies before providing information.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you. Since we hold almost none (essentially, emails you have sent us), a request to contact@articlesranker.com is enough — we will delete email correspondence on request.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the updated date at the top of this page will change and the change will be summarised here.
Third-party advertising cookies in detail
When advertising runs on this site, it is served by third parties — principally Google AdSense — and those partners may set and read cookies in your browser, or use web beacons, to serve and measure ads. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time via Google Ads Settings; opting out does not remove advertising, only its personalisation. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies via the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page (or, in Europe, youronlinechoices.eu). Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services on its "How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services" page. We do not control cookies set by advertising partners; your browser settings can block or delete cookies at any time, and the site remains fully readable with cookies blocked.
Analytics
If analytics are enabled, they measure aggregate behaviour only — which articles are read, roughly where readers arrive from, and whether they return. We do not use analytics to build profiles of individual readers, we do not combine analytics data with email correspondence, and we do not sell or rent any reader data to anyone, for any purpose.
Affiliate cookies
When you click an affiliate link, the destination merchant may set a cookie recording that you arrived from this site, so that a purchase can be attributed and a commission paid. Those cookies are set and governed by the merchant under its own privacy policy, typically expire within a stated window, and cost you nothing. You can avoid them entirely by navigating to the merchant directly instead of using our links.
Legal frameworks
Australia: This site is published from Australia and aims to handle the little personal information it touches consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 — collected only for a stated purpose, used only for that purpose, and deleted on request. European Union / UK: If you are in the EEA or UK, the GDPR/UK GDPR may give you rights over personal data: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection. Because we hold essentially only the emails you send us, exercising any of these rights is a single email to contact@articlesranker.com, and we will action it without charge. Elsewhere: similar requests from readers in other jurisdictions will be honoured on the same terms as a matter of practice, whether or not local law strictly requires it.
Data retention and security
Email correspondence is kept only as long as needed to handle the enquiry and any follow-up, and is deleted on request at any time. There are no user accounts, passwords, or payment details stored on this site — it is a static website with nothing to log in to and nothing to check out from — which keeps the amount of data at risk deliberately small. Our hosting provider may process standard server logs (IP address, user agent, URLs requested, timestamps) for security and operational purposes.
Children
This site is written for adult website owners and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16; if you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and it will be deleted.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially — for example, if advertising or analytics are newly enabled — the "last updated" date above will change and the change will be described in this section rather than made silently.
